Our Social Secretary, Nicola Newman, does a great job arranging all of our social events, details of which you'll be able to find here. If you have any suggestions for this year's social events, please contact Nicola via the Committee Page.

The Night

We hold the ATG Awards ceremony every other year to celebrate the achievements of our members and to have good old knees up! The evening involves a three course meal, awards ceremony, cabaret, and dancing. It really is a brilliant night so make sure you are there.

The Food

We’ll be having a three course meal as follows:

- Antipasti platter to start
- A choice of three main courses: Chicken Tarragon, Moroccan Lamb or Veggie Stuffed Peppers. All main dishes come with new potatoes and mixed salad
- Followed by a choice of desserts and coffee

The Tickets

Tickets for the event cost £22 each which covers the cost of hiring the hall, food and decorations. Friends and partners are very welcome, but it’s over 16s only so get your babysitters booked and look forward to a night of letting your hair down. Seating is around tables of eight as usual, so make sure you tell us who you’d like to sit with.

Booking and nominations

All members have received their nominations and booking forms via email, if you haven't received yours or if you are a non member and would like to book your ticket then please email louisecanfield@hotmail.com.

Cabaret

We’ve had some amazing cabaret performances over the years beautiful songs from the musicals, hilarious sketches, lots of silly business and several wardrobe malfunctions! If you would like to perform a cabaret act whether it be singing, dancing, acting, comedy or none of the above, or even if you’ve got an idea and just want to find like-minded people to put something together with, then please email Nicola Newman at nhowcroft05@hotmail.co.uk.

Shhh it’s a secret!

We like to keep an air of mystery about the event so please don't tell anyone who you have voted for, or what cabaret you intend to perform. And if the paparazzi come a knocking, make sure you keep quiet we don't want to see leaked stories in the press!

PAST SOCIAL EVENTS

Annual BBQ, July 2012

For the first time in this ATG-er's memory the ATG BBQ was a very soggy affair this year! Nicky and Martin kindly allowed us to take over their garden again but there were no fights over the hot tub, rather we were all huddling under some hastily procured gazebos sheltering from the rain! However, the food and the company were excellent as always and we all had a lovely time.

Diamond Jubilee Picnic, June 2012

Skittles at the Haycutter, May 2012

Bowling night, March 2012

Theatre trip - Lucky Stiff, March 2012

Theatre trip - Alice in Wonderland, Jan 2012

Christmas Party, December 2011

This year's Christmas party was a fabulous masquerade themed extravaganza. Everyone was dressed in their finery and there were some fantastic masquerade ball masks in attendance, along with some inventive home made masks; Ali's dramatic masks, Martin's Brad Pitt and Dom's Zorro were all brilliant, but the costume pize went to John D's amazing mask of his own face - genius! The party games went down a storm as always and Gen stole Ali's crown as Most Violent Musical Chairs Contestant! The Hut was transformed into a sophisticated ball room by Nicola and her merry band of helpers and everyone had a great night. Pictures will be up soon.

Annual BBQ, July 2011

The weather was kind to us once again and a lovely afternoon was had by all. We started with a great treasure hunt round Farleigh Common, thanks to Nicola and Phil for organising it for us. The Godbolts took the prize as usual, we really must blindfold them next year! Thanks also to Nicky and Martin who provided us with their beautiful garden for the BBQ and everyone had a fabulous time.

Bowling, May 2011

Bowling at Tenpin on 20th May went really well and 20 of us turned out to battle for the title of Champion. Shep took the crown and beat us all by miles with Martin L in second place and Dan in third. A great night was had by all!
